GLOBAL CLASS MENGIRIM 106 MAHASISWA KE 17 UNIVERSITAS DI 9 NEGARA

Program Global Class pertama kali dibuka oleh BINUS UNIVERSITY pada tahun akademik 2013 untuk Binusian 2017. Program ini memiliki beberapa keunikan, antara lain sebagian besar perkuliahan diselenggarakan dalam Bahasa Inggris, pengayaan dan kegiatan ekstra kurikuler khusus untuk memperkuat pola pikir global, serta mahasiswa yang terdaftar pada program ini wajib studi ke luar negeri minimum satu semester pada tahun ketiga perkuliahan mereka. Untuk angkatan pertama mahasiswa Global Class, tahun ketiga itu jatuh pada tahun akademik 2015/16.

Global Class angkatan pertama ini dibuka untuk 5 program studi: Computer Science, Information Systems, Accounting, Management, & IBM. Mahasiswa CS & IS pergi studi ke luar negeri pada semester ganjil ini, sedangkan mahasiswa Accounting, Management, & IBM akan pergi studi ke luar negeri pada semester genap mendatang. Secara bertahap mulai bulan Juli lalu, rombongan pertama mahasiswa-mahasiswa CS & IS sudah mulai terbang ke tempat studi mereka masing-masing.

Total mahasiswa Global Class yang pergi studi ke luar negeri pada semester ini terdiri dari 106 mahasiswa yang pergi ke 17 universitas di 9 negara. Dengan angka ini, total angka outbound BINUS UNIVERSITY untuk semester ganjil 2015/16 mencapai 185 mahasiswa (exchange & study abroad) dengan tujuan 41 universitas di 16 negara. Ini artinya lebih dari 3x rata-rata outbound (exchange & study abroad) sebelumnya yang adalah 55 mahasiswa pergi ke 21 universitas di 8 negara.

GLOBAL CLASS SENDS 106 STUDENTS TO 17 UNIVERSITIES IN 9 COUNTRIES

Global Class programs were first offered by BINUS UNIVERSITY in 2013 for Binusians 2017. These programs offer several uniquenesses, among which are: most of the courses are delivered in English, special enrichment and extra curricular activities to strengthen students’ global mindedness, and students enrolled in these programs have to study abroad for at least one semester during their third year in university. For the first cohort of Global Class students, this coming year of 2015/16 is their third.

The first cohort of Global Class programs are offered in 5 study programs: Computer Science, Information Systems, Accounting, Management, & IBM. CS & IS students are going to study abroad in this odd semester, while Accounting, Management, & IBM students will go in the coming even semester. The first of CS & IS students have flown to their study abroad destination starting last July.

Overall, there are 106 Global Class students going to study abroad at 17 universities in 9 countries. This adds up BINUS UNIVERSITY’s total outbound number for this coming semester to 185 students (exchange & study abroad) going to 41 universities in 16 countries – more then trebling the previous average outbound (exchange & study abroad) number of 55 students going to 21 universities in 8 countries.
